Single 3D Cube Zika Virus
Zika Virus, first identified in the year 1947, is a virus transmitted primarily by Aedes mosquitoes. The virus was first discovered in monkeys in Uganda and was later identified in humans in 1952 in Uganda and the United Republic of Tanzania.
Zika viruses (ZIKVs) are members of the Flavivirus genus of the Flaviviridae family. Zika virions are comprised of an envelope and a nucleocapsid. The virus particles are spherical and small (approximately 50 nm in diameter) with an electron-dense core approximately 30 nm in diameter. The virion surface contains envelope protein (E) dimers and membrane (M) proteins in icosahedral-like symmetry all of which can be seen clearly in our Zika Virus 3D cube.

Note this is a 3D modelled artistic piece and does NOT contain the actual Contagion - that would be illegal. We do get asked.
